I've responded already to your ODB prompt haiku, so this is in response to a comment you left on mine re: the dreamku with a "palm sized dog" in it. (Couldn't find an email addy for you on any of your blogs, or I'd have emailed. :-D)
Yes, Alan at Summer Haiku also found the dog scary. I'm still not fully sure why. Could you go further with what is scary for you in the image?
As I responded to him, after I'd written the dreamku I noted and liked the contrast between the implied sadness of an eclipsed moon and the sweet dog right there in the palm of my hand. :-)
lovely - i don't read the second one as sad somehow, maybe the promises were never meant to be kept - maybe it's better that way... I like the contradiction of a 'tiny' elephant...x

oh, i remember those carved elephants in tiny beans.
and the second one says so much... ouch!
That first one is simply (in both senses of that word) wonderful.
oh what a wonderful treasure in the first one! The second is so sad.
that second one is so sadly beautiful.
Lovely, both. Different emotions spill out of these haiku...
I love that second one best, and its hidden tragedy.

The tiny elephant reminded me of a tiny carved spider a friend gave me. Thank you.
The second... the feel of things slipping away...
wow, stellar! Love the verbal dexterity of control and vivid observation of both.
Both are good, but I love the second one!
lovely stuff since I've been away
